- Unique one-way valve inside the catheter hub prevents blood from leaking out prior to activation
- Multi-activation blood control valve allows deactivation each time mating device is disconnected, and reactivation upon reconnection
- No need to maintain digital pressure distal to the point of insertion of the catheter
