Over 25 Years’ Experience of eBeam Sterilisation
We are one of the only companies in the UK who can provide a full bespoke Electron Beam (eBeam/E-Beam) Processing Service for our global customers, including:
Services can include stability testing which looks at the Aging, Seal-Strength Testing and Product Stability as well as sterilisation.
(Bioburden Analysis, Sterility Testing)
(Settle Plates, Production Line Swab, Finger Swabs)
(Age Testing, Seal Strength Testing and Dye Penetration)
An eBeam (or E-Beam) is short for Electron Beam which is an irradiation process that uses high energy electrons for sterilisation, contamination control and material modification, such as polymer strengthening.
eBeam sterilisation is a safe, effective, and efficient processing technology used to sterilise a wide variety of medical devices and pharmaceuticals. eBeam is the most cost-effective sterilisation method for low to medium density products. For extremely dense materials, we suggest alternative methods.
The eBeam is able to penetrate low-to-medium dense products, including medical devices and pharmaceuticals which are already packaged within their outer boxes.
The eBeam then deactivates microorganisms by causing microbial death either as a direct effect of destroying a vital molecule or as an indirect effect of a chemical reaction. The hyper-advanced technology controls the precise use of the electrons during the sterilisation process.
eBeam is a quick turnaround solution with simple, clean on/off technology.
There is no carcinogenic gas needed and no residuals left on the product following sterilisation, meaning the product can be immediately released for distribution safely.
From a single box to multiple truckloads, we can handle any size of shipment without the need for expensive packaging.
eBeam is a quick turnaround solution with simple, clean on/off technology.
There are no radioactive sources needed, meaning the product can be immediately released for distribution safely, without concern for security, transport or disposal.
Unlike Cobalt 60 (gamma photons), the supply of electrons will never be in danger of running out.
Due to the eBeam having a faster dose rate than gamma, there is a reduced exposure to the dose and therefore a reduced risk of product damage.
This means that the eBeam can even be used on sensitive products like pharmaceuticals, tissues and food.
If your products can be sterilised using eBeam, or you’d like to discuss your requirements with us further, please complete this form and one of our team will be in touch!
